@sound_nthusiast You are going to possibly find a more limited WiFi channel list on 5 Ghz. It will also possibly have a few "extra" 2.5 GHz channels that are not used in the USA.
If you run it from your own POE source, you wont need to the European POE injector.
I spoke with them as well, but they did not have enough in stock to meet my needs and the shipping for a larger quantity was significant.

If anyone is interested, there is another seller on Amazon advertising these . However , he wants almost $300 USD and isn't planning on shipping until the middle of next month at the earliest .... probably giving him enough time to leave town with the $$ .
there are a couple of similar questionable sellers on eBay .

I got it. It seats on my balcony and I have the best internet from all my neighbors in my garden. There is no issue watching multiple 4k videos while bathing in sun.

I have fulfilled my need for new WAP installs for the year using products from elsewhere.
however , I was still on the lookout for a couple of eap610-outdoors just to evaluate in the event there is availability before next years work begins for me.
a company in the USA ( Provantage ) showed inventory of them at a reasonable price so I placed an order . I got an email a few days later stating that they didn't actually have any, only that they have some on order .
another false start

I just placed an order for one on Amazon... same thing ... shipment date is not guaranteed.
also , based on further emails from the first company I placed an order with , I sense that they may not be a stocking distributor... just a storefront that resells for one or more other real distributors... hence they really would be disconnected from what the real inventory status might be . Also included in the last email was a statement that implied that , " to speed things up ", they might ask TP-Link to ship directly to me. It is now referred to as a " special order ". That lowered my expectations dramatically
