 @Clive_A

Are you able to confirm if dns entry will be possible with v5.15 for ER707-m2 in managed mode,please?   Hardware sticker says v1.6 but menu show v1.0. Understood it's fairly new so would be grand if you can confirm in scope for same timeframe.

Good to have you in the conversation here.  I'd encourage you to ignore the jerks here.

cheers and thx much

I cannot make a guarantee or provide a timeframe for any requests on a feature. This would only put me/my colleagues in trouble.

Please understand that I cannot give that to you. If there is a change to this, I have to adjust the statement as well. So far, I am still informed by the team that ETA V5.15(Controller) and its adapted firmware. If I am informed by the dev, I, of course, let you know about it by updating this thread.

If the model is capable of carrying this feature and does not throttle, it should be added which is what I learned about the system. I think 707-M2 is decent in the hardware and IMO, it is very likely to have this feature.

When it comes, most models like 7206, 707-M2, and 8411 would be equipped with this feature. If a model does not, that might be a performance concern which I will confirm with the dev individually by that time.

BTW, appreciate your understanding. My hands are tied on this matter as I also know this has been a long-requested feature. Have a good one.

  @psychedelicu - Wrong we will not forget about this. This function is still very much needed and expected by this community.

We have a committment from the TPLink team for an  "ETA V5.15(Controller) and its adapted firmware".

The question now is when can we expect V5.15 to be released?

Sure, I've got a customer that just got Omada installed in their office and I'm nervous that he'll ask for that functionality. If he does, I would have to build some RPi or whatever to resolve local names for him, keeping track of the static DHCP assignations. It's becoming a problem because that's a basic functionality, and the workarounds will cost money and time to us integrators. Ubiquiti is much more friendly for those deployments.
