Repeaters typically work by being both a client and an AP on the same SSID (network) AND the same RF channel.  If your 110 is broadcasting two SSID, say Corporate and Guest...you'll need two repeaters if you want both repeated.  This starts to get ugly from a frequency planning and transmission overhead perspective.  Why not just buy another 110?  Is the issue that you have power but no ethernet in the direction you want to expand?

The alternative is a pair of EAP225's instead...

So yes, 1 Xiaomi repeater can be paired to 1 SSID on 2.4Ghz (not 5.8) and will support up to 16 'repeated' users.  If you need more than 16 'guests' to connect to the SSID, then then another repeater or another 110 is needed.  Keep in mind that everyone on the repeated signal will generate double the traffic on that channel as users connected directly to the 110 as the repeated users first send traffic to the repeater which then sends the same traffic back to your 110 consuming 2 time slots instead of just 1 and same in reverse path 110->Xiaomi->end user means two more slots used.

Things start to get messy with lots of users because of the way wifi works, at which point congestion becomes an issues and throughput drops significantly (not unlike a highway at rush hour...the cars all still 'fit' on the road, but the  max speed drops way down from 60mph).  At this point another channel (lane) is a better choice and you'll need a 110 for that.
