Firmware Version: Latest (4.0.4)

Our WAN1 port is connected to an ADSL modem and uses PPPOE to connect

The connection grants a fixed IP address and is used for company mail and  http access.

The ADSL modem web management interface is available at 192.168.10.1 on the WAN1

I thought I could set up a static route to the management interface off wan1 as I did with our last router

I set the static route as follows

address is 192.168.10.1

mask 255.255.255.255    just the one IP

interface : WAN1

Next Hop :  ????

I was not sure what to set Next Hop to ... I tried our public IP, the WAN gateway IP .. nothing seems to work

How can I access the management interface from the LAN (office) without having to go into the machine

room and connect a laptop to the modem ?

  @TomInTo

Normally, as long as the WAN IP of this router and the ADSL modem can access each other, then the PC at the back of the router would have been able to access the IP address of your ADSL modem.
This is the mechanism of NAT.
