I intend to deploy this exact configuration:

The only difference would be the EAP-225 outdoor, which would be wired, as the house siding is aluminum and I want to avoid degrading signal/bandwidth.

I could also wire the other indoors EAP as wiring is already there. (Mesh would essentially be disabled)

I would be using the software based Omada as I already have a server running 24/7 (vs the OC200, unless it is mandatory or strongly recommended)

 

Simply want to confirm if single SSID / Fast-handoff will work (via Omada or any other approach)

 

In other words, if my Samsung S10 is connected to the EAP245 indoors and I have to go outdoors, I want to make sure it dynamically switches to the EAP-225-outdoors.

Not the usual way where the EAP245 signal would have to fall to zero or near zero before it switches AP's.

Wired is always better than mesh if you can.  Looks like your AP hardware and the S10 all meet the 802.11k/v requirements so yeah...go for it!  (you will need a controller for either mesh and/or fast roaming though).

Before you do... I would do a wireless site survey to see if you have enough signal between APs.

 

Ghetto way:

Configure your 1st AP and fire it up.

Load Acrylic Home wireless Analyzer on your Laptop.

walk around until you hit -70 and thats where you place your next AP.

That will give you a better idea of where the signal is splashing across your home.
