Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.4.7

Hi all,

Feels kinda stupid, but I have problems accessing 1 certain website. It's doing a couple of hops and the times out. It's works at other locations (like home or parents home) without Omada.

I already tried to duplicate the MAC address, read an article on the internet about that, but I didn't have any access to the internet any more after that.

I have a dutch cable internet supplier called Ziggo and when they disabled the bridge mode and I tried to access the website via their standard wifi and then it was accessible again.

Thanks in advance!

==================

- omada oc200

- ER605 v1.0

- TL-SG2210P v3.20

- EAP610(EU) v1.0

  @Bartolini Hi

I did not see same issue on my system.

Which connection type did you use on tplink router? If that is PPPoE, try configure the MTU to 1480 or lower.

If you are using Dynamic IP, then on the same page enable "Unicast DHCP"

  @Bartolini

Confirm you are using your ISP's current DNS server IP's for the LAN users, and if that doesn't work, try using Googles at 8.8.8.8

  @Somnus Unfortunately that didn't help. Forgot to post an example website: efk DOT nl this one is not accessible.

Already tried that. I'm now using 8.8.8.8 but still no luck. It's getting resolved by the way.

  @Bartolini

I don't know if this is a clue or a 'red herring'...but the IPv6 address for the efk site is malformed IMHO (I'm no expert on v6 though!).  Normally IPv6 is 6 groups of 4 hexadecimals, so 1234:5678:90ab:cdef:1234:5678 and any subgroup that is all zeros can be ommitted, ie 1234:0000:0678... would show as 1234::678:...

compare the resolves for efk vs google and ibm below

Is there anyway to force the end client to only operate in IPv4?

  @d0ugmac1 Sharp! Not sure for me personally. But I tried to disable it on my NIC but that also didn't help :-(

  @Bartolini

Hmmm.  Ok, what does a traceroute look like?

ie C:>tracert site.web

Is there a routing loop somwhere, and if so, at which point?

and for what it's worth, that web01 site also resolves weirdly in IPv6 land....

  @d0ugmac1

So it looks like it times out exactly at the last hop... the webserver itself.

UPDATE: We discovered that when using an VPN that we could connect to the website. We contacted the builder/manager of the website and they are investigating their firewall (maybe blocking some IPs?).

to be continued... What a story...
