I have an EAP225 indoor and I am in the US, I see the firmware page having versions all the way up to v5 and I also see new firmware released for some later versions. I would like to know..

 

1. Is there a difference between v3 and later versions?

2. Can I flash the new firmware that was released for later versions?

3. Is the v3 EOL hence we don't see any firmware updates?

V1, V2, V3 are hardware versions. I have asked tplink technical support before and they said that the hardware versions are different only in terms of the chips used, the firmware version is not much different.
However, when upgrading the EAP firmware, you have to select the corresponding hardware version to upgrade.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
