How to update Omada software on ER7212PC?
I read that in Omada Controller 5.6 support for an mDNS service will be added.
However, my router is on 5.4.20 and I can't seem to find a way to update it?
When I go to the controller settings I do see a button to update the integrated router, but that gives "General error." when I press "Check for Upgrade".

Hey
This a very new device and it doesnt look like its released its first firmware update yet. Usually the controller software updates with the firmware for the device, TP Link tend to release the hardware controller firmwares approx 4-6 weeks after the software versions.
We are due a hardware release in the next few weeks (5.8.4 if memory services me correctly), this may well include the update for this device.

I've got the same issue with ER7212PC v1
My current firmware is: 1.0.2 Build 20230202 Rel.10719, which corresponds to Omada Controller 5.4.20.
And I can see on the tp-link website (https://www.tp-link.com/pl/support/download/er7212pc/#Firmware) that there have been at least 3 newer releases since this one.
The newest one at the moment of writing this is: "ER7212PC(UN)_V1_1.1.1 Build 20230901"
The currently installed version is missing many features.
I was also trying to download and install manually from the linked website, but then I got error "Invalid firmware file".
Anyone was able to workaround this issue?

I've managed to solve that after contacting the support - it requires logging to tp-link cloud (even temporarily, for the upgrade time) and upgrade only then.
Doesn't matter whether you do the online upgrade when the devide downloads the package itself, or you download yourself and use the upload button in the omada panel. In both cases logging to tp-link cloud on the device was required. After the upgrade I just disconnected from the cloud and it's fine.
