Hey community,

we have TL-SG1016D switch, that is password protected. We have forgotten the password and need to access switch admin web interface. Can someone guide how to factory reset it.

Regards and thanks,

Joker

  @jokerde

This switch is UNmanaged, there is nothing to be reset and hence there is no reset button either.

It is a simple plug-and-play switch with no configuration options (no web interface).

Hey @Hoamboy Thanks for a quick reply. I am aware of the fact that it is un-managed device but I am concerned regarding the web interface in order to login. We forgot the password and now unable to access the settings. Is there anyway to reset the admin password?

The SG1016D doesn't have an IP address, but the SG1016DE does. Basically you want to push the button (below) in and hold for at least 5s after you power up the device to reset it to factory (and reset the password).

  @jokerde If you don't have the pushbutton, you don't have the Smartswitch and that means you don't have a web interface in the first place.  If you really have the D and not the DE model...then it's just a dumb switch.
