Hey

We have a couple (about 10-15) L2TP clients who connect to our ER7206 via the built in Windows client, and for some reason, since I’ve upgraded the controller to the new 5.9.9 version, some clients (not all clients) can’t connect anymore. Their windows client says the user/password is wrong, or the auth protocol is denied.

No config were changed, not on the computers and not in the controller.

Is it a known bug or can someone guide me on how to fix that?

I’ve deleted vpn connections on the faulty computers, deleted and recreated the vpn user in the controller, still doesn’t work.

Thanks!

Firmware 1.2.3 Build 221104 Rel.41500

Hello @Sebacote ,

It is unusual, could you totally delete all VPN related settings and re-create to test?

We haven't received similar issue until now, it is hard to say that is a BUG.

  @Hank21

Hey :)

The thing I have now is I have 10 clients who are the same laptops with the same image, on the same network, but different VPN users obviously, and 2 of them can connect and the others (8) can’t connnect.

And before the 5.9.9 update, everyone was connecting without issues!

We tried creating a PPTP connection for test purposes on those machines (I activated PPTP on those users in the controller also) and it also works flawlessly!

I'll recreate the L2TP VPN to be sure
