Syslog server settings not working. With OMADA Controller 5.9.9 and TL-SG2428P v2.0, TL-SG2210P v5.0, EAP620 HD(EU) v2.0 no syslog server settings are transferred to the devices. Checked via SSH CLI to the switches.

can you test it on your log server with wireshark? any incoming connection?

firewall and port open?

  @leonha It looks like there could be a problem with the controller and the switches not working together. For further help fixing such problem and ensuring the syslog server is correctly configured, we advise getting in touch with the supplier.

I noticed that the syslog settings are not set on the end devices (switch/access point), but the log data is probably sent to the controller via the control/data ports to the Omada controller and this sends the log data bundled to the configured one Syslog server.
In our case, the syslog server runs on the same system as the Omada controller. As a result, the syslog source is not the IP of the switch/access point, but that of the Omada controller. In this case localhost.
