ER605 v1.0 - will this ever get new firmware?

Will thie ever get new formware? have updated swithces, and Controller (linux). release notes with controller software say that some featuers wil not be available until formware release.
Is this going to happen?
Should I get a different router?

Yes it is likely to come, just needs time for BETA testing and any bugs addressed.
