Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.7.7 Build 20221206 Rel.58608

Hello,

Complete noob to Omada (and managed switches) so apologies in advance.

I am using the OC200 with the ER7206 v1.0 and the TL-SG2210MP v4.04 - I have a static IP assigned to me via pppoe XX.87.252.126 and a block

xx.87.229.120\29 routed by my ISP to my static xx.87.252.126

Connected to port 2 of the TL-SG2210MP I have a server configured with the following static IP info:

IP:        xx.87.229.121

Netmask: 255.255.255.248

Gateway: xx.87.251.126

DNS 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1

The default network for DHCP is set 192.168.100.0\24

I have created a new LAN on a new VLAN using xx.87.229.120\29 without DHCP and even tried with DHCP and set my server to use DHCP instead of its static -- no matter what I do the server does not get an IP address - under clients the IP remains blank no matter what I do ... rebooting everything has no effect.  If the server is set to DHCP and kept in the 192.168.100.0\24 range all is fine.

Any advice/direction would be most welcome ! I am certain I am missing something very basic - everything else with the Omada setup has worked like a charm :)

Edit:  Server is now receiving its xx.87.229.121 IP but has no connectivity .. getting closer anyways /

Regards.

@garykz There is a slight hope that this may work...as the Omada routers are traditionally pure-NAT without traditional routing.

If you have upgraded your ER7206 to v1.2.3 (not sure if the Beta of the same name has all the same features)...so see the Release Notes here

https://static.tp-link.com/upload/firmware/2022/202211/20221110/ER7206(UN)_v1_1.2.3%20Build%2020221104%20Release%20Note.pdf

It includes a 1:1 NAT feature, which you may be able to use to link your assigned static IP's across the NAT and map to local private IP's, it should basically create a 1:1 mapping between a public IP and private IP with full DMZ between.  The one thing I don't know is if you can do that with the Controller for IPs not part of the WAN subnet(s).  I'm pretty sure this will get ugly and not work though.  You may have to put a 'dumb' router between your modem and your ER7206 to do the initial routing, and then map Physical WAN ports on the 7206 to individual IP's....  Hopefully it doesn't get that ugly

@garykz I think for this to work you're going to have to change the subnet mask for your WAN1 to be a /19

So WAN

xx.87.229.121

255.255.224.0

Now your assigned IP's at  xx.87.251.126/29 will fit inside the greater /19 and the 1:1 NAT *may actually* work.
