Hey Gang,

Has anyone figured out a cold spare strategy with Omada where you can keep a pre-configured spare controller and switch that's ready to go if the current hardware experiences issues?  We have a TL-SG2428P connected to a OC200 2.0 with a bunch of APs to boot, along with some spares of each model.  In order to enable a fast recovery if something were to burn out, we'd like to these spares ready to go without the need for a network admin during emergency.  Has anyone figured out a way to accomplish this?  I see the auto-backup option available in the cloud controller, as well as a migration wizard but it looks like the old controller has be be online for that to work.  Any strategies come to mind?

OC200: straight up backup current controller, restore config to cold spare.  You will need to config the IP statically on the device as you cannot have 2 DHCP reservation for the same IP.

Switch: Later controllers allow you to copy device configs between devices, very useful.  Not sure if the current OC200 load (5.7.6) allows this, so you might need to spin up a cloud or vm based controller to do that.
