er605 keeps adopting
er605 keeps adopting
my er506 keeps adopting in a loop
im using a software controller v5.8.4
is this isue fixed in the v2 version
or is this router (thats 1 day old) thats still being sold no longer supported
the latest firmware from 15/06/22 does say it suports 5.3
when will the new firmware that suports the 5.8.4 controller be releaseased ?

Until recently I was running that exact config (ie ER605v1 and SC5.8.4), and it ran fine for many months.
I suspect you have a weird configuration error which is isolating the ER605 from the controller once adopted...forcing it to reboot, re-adopt etc etc.
Have changed any of the default management settings?
Is the port the controller connects to VLAN'd?
Have you statically configured any IP addresses or VLANs?

@d0ugmac1
my nas (192.168.0.101)(software controller in a docker container) is conected to the lan side of my er605v1
there shouldnt be any vlans
and to clarify its "adopt-looping" on its own

Host or Bridged networking on your container? If the latter, you may need to add a static route into the controller for the bridged subnet via the 192.168.0.101 IP of the NAS

@rausimous
upgrading to the beta has not fixed the isue
im going to replace the v1 with a newer v2
the v1 is going back to the store that sold it in 2 weeks (20/4/2023)
current state :
with the beta it adopts (i think it also did this without the beta)
then it drops the wan interface (same as before)
then it tries adopting again and fails to repond to the adopt comands (same as before)
tldr; beta hasent changed a ting for my problem

Even if it didn't have this problem, I'd still run, not walk, to the store to get the V2 version. Let us know if that fixes the adoption cycle.

@rausimous
update opend up port 27002
then i get the normal stuff
factory reset
adoption pending
adoption failed (becous of a wrong login)
input right credentials
adopting
the normal stuff like configuring ....
provisioning
conected
then wan goes down
hardbeat missed
adopting
and the cycle of adoption starts
i have now tryed with and withouth seting it up before provisioning

My er605 v2 also started to adopt loop
I figured out that my isp router was giving out ip adres in subnet 192.168.1.xxx
And giving 192.168.2.1 as gateway
Via dhcp
192.168.2.1 doesn't exist in my network
So basically if your wan interface is setup wrong then your router will adopt-loop ??
I will test my v1 with beta software in a few hrs

Ive been battling the same issues with my er605v2, stuck in the same adopt loop, it doesnt seem to affect the network as Im not dropping packets or anything. However it does spam my phone with notifications that the router has disconnected/reconnected etc
Troubleshooting Ive completed so far
Rolled back OC300 to 1.13.1 firmware - no change
Rolled back er605v2 to 2.0.1 - no change
Im going to firmware upgrade the ER605v2 to the latest firmware that just came out a few days ago and see if issue changes. Also Im going to spin up a software controller on my server to see if i can isolate issue to either the er605 or the OC300. Worst case both are under warranty
