Devices cannot connect to EAP610-Outdoor(US) v1.0
Hi!,
My EAP610-Outdoor(US) v1.0 is not having any client even if the device is already near. It is wired to my router and is not isolated while my other EAP with the same model (mesh) is running without any problem.
It is not like this before, I have tried to forget this EAP to somehow resolve the issue but funny thing is that I can remove this EAP to my network and adopt it again but the client history can still be seen (I dont know if thats how this really works) from the last day that it is accepting a client/device.
I hope someone can help me resolve this issue
Thanks

Hi, set a separate SSID without any password and test it.
Try changing the channel and channel width, better to test whether the EAP can work in standalone mode or not.

Did anyone figure it out?
I saw the same issue with EAP610-outdoor v1 FW v1.1.3 and factory reset it didn't solve the issue. Changing the channel and Tx power didn't either solve it. Any other workaround?

@Virgo I'm not using PPSK, just a normal SSID with password. And, the AP is getting a vaild IP address from the router. I can see that on the controller. Before, the AP was working fine.

Can you still see the EAP SSID? If you even can't find the EAP's wifi on the phone/PC, suggest you follow this to do some TS:

@Virgo Tried that before and didn't work. Thanks Virgo for your help.

@hurley-john I am experiencing the same thing now too. I only noticed it because I have another AP that is supposed to connect to my EAP610-Outdoor(US) v1.0 via mesh, as it is the closest and they have line of sight, however my AP that is trying to connect via mesh picks up other AP's on my network. Further, when I look at the client list for my
EAP610-Outdoor(US) v1.0, there are no clients connected.

Same here.
I replaced 2 x EAP225-Outdoor with 2 x EAP610-Outdoor about 8 months or so ago.
Regrets ever since. Drops outs and devices not connecting properly.
My current wifi network:
2 x EAP610-Outdoor (v1.0 - 1.2.5 Build 20231213 Rel. 68928)
2 x EAP225-Outdoor (v1.0 one wifi bridge to one EAP610-Outdoor - 1.2.5 Build 20231213 Rel. 68928 )
1 x EAP225 Indoor (v3 - 5.1.6 Build 20240313 Rel. 43415 )
Omada Controller OC200 (v5.13.30.20 - 1.29.4 Build 20240304 Rel.54362)
Over the time I have tried EVERYTHING. The EAP225's did a firmware update just yesterday and I could no longer connect an ESP8266 device which was AP locked to the bridge. I factory reset the OC200 and setup everything fresh - connect again.
Newer devices like apple iphones seems to be able to connect to the 610's. However, they don't seem to roam properly between the mesh. There seems to be a delay.
If I lock anything that required 2.4ghz to the 610 - it just disappears and can't connect. Yet they connect fine if you lock them to the older AP's.
This just proves that the older devices have no dramas connecting to other AP's but NOT these 610's.
I have been at this for so long experimenting with all the settings and wifi security types suggested in all the forums and trying to come up with a magic solution. Definately regret getting these 610's. They were supposed to be grand but alas.
I am also suspect of the range of the signal fluctuating.
Any thoughts from anyone in the community? Especially TP-Link?

@hurley-john I have the same issue... (3) EAP610, (1) EAP620HD and (1) EAP615... none is accepting clients any longer. But my stable EAP225 is rock-steady with WiFi 5 and all varieties of WPA/WPA2/WPA3 personal/AES.
