Can you show the output of those commands? There is no way to confirm which steps went wrong if you only show what commands you used. For example, if you ran sudo apt install curl but it didn't install curl. There is no way for the rest of the commands to progress properly.

  @YuukiA By some miracle I still have the history! The forum doesn't like me attaching text files or posting links, so you can see the attached screenshot or visit pastebin dot com slash 2bRmeRiu

I'm ordering another Pi + MicroSD card. I will work on the new update and test out the process. Maybe next week I will have an update post.

I read the output. What happened afterward? Can you access the :8080 to management website at the installed local IP address?

  @YuukiA Yep, I can access the management site, and the controller works fine. By the way, Raspberry Pi 5 has been announced.

  @sighted Then I'm not too sure why apt is hung on jvsc. I have to wait for my new Pi to arrive to test out 5.9.31 again see if anything has changed since I made the post. I will check to see if my output is the same as yours. Stay tune.

After that, I will make an update post on 5.12.xx as well.

  @sighted I have my new Pi ready and followed my guide through and through. I found your exact problem with the broken dependencies where jvsc was broken

use

   sudo apt --fix-broken install

It should work fine.

  @YuukiA Perfect, thanks! For some reason that didn't work in the past, but it has solved it now.

  @YuukiA

I flashed a fresh image today 10/11, and it was the new Bookworm version. The OpenJDK installed failed. Falling back to Bullseye and trying again. Just an FYI if someone else could verify.

omada@omada:~ $ sudo apt install openjdk-11-jdk-headless
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Package openjdk-11-jdk-headless is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  openjdk-17-jre-headless:armhf openjdk-17-jre-headless

E: Package 'openjdk-11-jdk-headless' has no installation candidate

  @mooneye14
Rolled back to Raspberry PI Legacy (Bullseye) and everything worked as expected.
