With the recent firmware release adding certificate+account support for openvpn client connections I have finally managed to get my er605v1 connected to my VPN provider (PIA), however the speeds are an underwhelming 15Mbps, a 10th of what I get from my desktop.

 

I am considering upgrading to the ER7206 and can see both a v1 and v2 listed on the website with the v2 having much higher VPN performance. Is there any information on when this version will hit the market?

For anyone interested I raised a ticket for this and got the following response:

 

The ER7206 V2 is planned to be shipped at the end of June, and it usually takes several months.

Please kindly wait for the update from the retailer after several months.

Strangely there is a second product page for the er7206 which doesn't have the v2 datasheet:
