Model: EAP610-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.3

Hello,

I got a EAP 610-outdoor but I keep getting the message "disconnected". Does anybody know how to fix this?

Current setup:

  • Router is placed in fuse box which is connected to TP switch TL-SG2210MP (V3.0, Firmware 3.0.5)
  • Switch is connected with cat6 cable to EAP 615-Wall (EU, V1.0, firmware 1.1.6)

   distance between switch and 615-Wall is about 10 / 12 meters

  • From 615-Wall I connected a cat6 outdoor cable to the 610-outdoor via the ETH socket underneath the 615-Wall.

   distance 615-Wall and 610-Outdoor less then 1 meter

  • 610-Outdoor is PoE with TP-Link POE2412G PoE-injector.

The 610-outdoor has a IP-adress and it is visable via my OC200 controller.

If I plug the 610-Outdoor directly into the switch it is working correctly.

When I setup the 610-Outdoor as AP via it`s IP-adress I see wireless SSID but no internet or it keeps loosing it`s connection.

Hi @Roel81

EAP610-Outdoor need to be powered by the 48V/0.5A Passive PoE, please check the specification out:

But the POE injector TL-POE2412G is a 24V 12W Passive PoE Adapter, it is not powerful to feed the EAP610-Outdoor.

@Hank21

thank you for your reply. I changed the current PoE injector for the TP-POE4824G adapter but the 610-outdoor remains disconnected.
