  @Hank21

the last firmware (see image)

yesterday one AP was out of connection and stay on adopting

Powering via POE switch

with the original firmware I didn't notice this issue

I don't know if the connection totally lost because I have 3 of them and two of them had the same issue sometimes

Please Forget this AP and Adopt it again to check whether this issue still occurs.

Do you mean you have upgraded all 3 EAP650s firmware to the 1.0.10_Build 20230814 (Beta) and 1 EAP has no issue but 2 EAPs both have?

Can you reproduce the issue steadily?

@Hank21, is there a timeline for releasing the beta firmware for the 660HD?

I updated some EAP655s from 1.0.2 to 1.2.0, and EAP650s from 1.0.6 to 1.0.10.

Everything was fine for about 8 hours, then I started experiencing some network issues. Checking the controller, two of my APs (one EAP655 and one EAP650) were no longer adopted, and adoption was repeatedly failing. I had to retry adoption multiple times before it succeeded.

I also noticed that my switch's (TL-SG3428XMP) CPU usage was at 90%, when it's usually around 30%

I also noticed an EXTREMELY LARGE amount of dropped packets and errors on my APs at this same time - here's the stats for just two of them at the time

I made various attempts to troubleshoot, including power cycling my switch (and APs as a result), but the errors only returned. Once I downgraded the firmware of all the APs, things returned to normal.

On a positive note, ipv6 traffic was working fine until this incident :)

Hello @prooney

Sorry that we have no idea when the EAP660 HD firmware will be available, but will update this post once it's available.

Hi @Mariomark1541

Thanks for your reply. Please try Forgetting one EAP of two issues EAP650, and reset it, then re-adopt this EAP on the controller.

If it still doesn't help, please feel free to update here, and I will escalate this issue to the support engineer.

Hello @jonahwh,

Please tell us the firmware version of your controller and the TL-SG3428XMP.

For the high CPU issue of the switch, please check whether there is a loop in your network, and check the physical connection.

May I confirm whether the dropped packets occur both on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz?

I'm currently running 5.9.31 as a software controller. The TL-SG3428XMP is running 3.0.3

There's no loops - and the high CPU resolved temporarily when disconnecting the bad-behaving APs and and permanently after I downgrade the AP firmware

It looks like it was on both, but much higher on the 2.4 GHz frequency, although that may just be due to the type of clients connected. It's also worth noting I was experiencing dropped packets on the wired connection from one of the EAP655's as well.

@Hank21 Does the EAP655-Wall do RF Scan or is it my controller (ER7212PC) that lacks that capability?

Currently running 1.2.0
