Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.2 Build 20230210 Rel.62992

Quick check: if I enable CLI mode on the router (Remote Assistant feature), is the SSH login available on the WAN as well, or only LAN ports? I'd like to be able to configure the router from the LAN excluding any potential attacks to the router from the outside.

Reason: sometimes I need to reconfigure the network remotely, but I have nothing else than elinks/lynx text web-browsers which are not handled by the WWW interface of the router.

  @consmast

if remote access management is enabled, your device is available via WWW and SSH.

  Ive just tested on my ER605 and enabling Remote Assistance in the Diagnostics menu ONLY allows SSH access from the local LAN.

It will ONLY be accessible remotely ( via SSH and HTTP/S ) if you enable Remote Management in the Admin Setup menu and then only from any IP subnets you define as allowed access
