Hello,

I am planning a video surveillance with about 40 cameras. Some of the cameras should also offer a live view. Which CPU do I need for this if I want to have at least 16 cameras in live view? Is a CPU with integrated GPU like a Ryzen 7700 enough or do I need a dedicated GPU?

Another question, does the Security Manager also run on Windows Server?

Thank you very much.

Tim

Hi @Timmey1985

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

So, an example in our lab, we got a VSM installed in our lab computer with 7 cameras. The CPU would be a pretty basic one with dual-core Intel CPU. It runs okay and without any lag.

Think you would be fine with a 4-core. 6 or 8 core CPU might be overkill for this.

Security Manager should be fine with any Windows OS as long as it is not too old. Most devices run at Win10 and are pretty solid.
