i accidentally plug eap 225 to eap 610 adapter. when i went home eap 225 has no longer power. itried plugging to the right adaptor but wont work anymore and has no power. please help

Is there any lights on the EAP225 device?

If there is no lights when you plug a working adapter into the EAP, it can not be ruled out a hardware issue on it, please feel free to submit a ticket email to our technical support team from here for further assistance.

what would i do to make eap 225 useable coz it has no power and my controller cant detect. And if we could rule out that 610adapter is the cause of the damage then i can recommned putting feature protection on device against incompatible adapters.

heres what i did

1. plug on a right working adapter. (still not working)

2. plug other working poE cable. (still not working)
3. tear down eap 225 and theres no signed of burned, shorted, or bloated parts. got electricuted though got some cleaning. (still not working)
4. i plug in back for 2 hours hoping. (still not working)

5. next week end ill visit electrician for circuit trouble shooting and testing.

The 225-outdoor is a bit unique in that it can be powered by 48V active POE or 24V passive POE. 

 

Have you tried with the small white 24V passive POE injector it came with?

 

Inspect the 8 pins inside the AP ethernet jack for damage or contamination?

 

Use a different known good cable between AP and POE source.

yup lights were off and controller cant detect,

i have 2 eap 225 outdoor so i test first the working one to make sure poe and adapter were ok, after that ive tried plugging the damage the damage eap 225

Was the EAP610 adapter you used POE+ (802.3af/t) or passive 48V POE.  If it was a passive 48V then you have probably killed the 225 (there are warnings in the 225 user guide about this) because it can only handle 24V passive.

I don't suppose it is impossible, but it won't be easy or cheap, and I have no idea where you would get the required parts.  Recommend you purchase a new unit and move on.
