ER7212PC Dual WAN issues when connected via switch first using VLAN
Hi,
My Setup is as follows...
TP-LINK TL-SG2428P Switch
TP-LINK ER7212PC Router
Initially I had ports 3&4 on the ER setup as WAN, with Provider 1 & 2 coming in, when I pull the plug on Port 3 within a few seconds its switches to Port 4 and vice versa, all seemed to work well.
However, in order to POE my provider modems I connected them to the switch, I had Port 3&4 setup as VLAN1000 and 5&6 setup as VLAN2000, I connect the modem of provider 1 to Port3 and Port4 to Port 3 on the ER, provider 2 goes into port 5 on the switch and then port 6 goes to port 4 on the Router.
Now, internet works fine etc, but when I pull the modem out of Port 3 to test, it does not failover to provider 2, instead a ping of google,co.uk gives me destination unreachable.
So my point is, works fine when all connected directly to ROUTER, but has this issue when connected to SWITCH first, is there a fix or is ROUTER assuming because it can still see Port 4 connection of the Switch it assumes connection stilkl active?
Thanks
