Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello All,

is it possible with the EAP655-Wall  to use Wlan as an Uplink?

I have a Room without Network Cable with 2 PC and a Network Printer.

At the Moment i use an old Version from the R650 with an small unmanged 5Port Switch.
I want a Solution wich show up in the Omada Network Interface.

Thnks for the advice.

Wall units cannot mesh, so not suitable for wireless-wireless connection of APs.  Though I appreciate the thought of using those juicy wired ports and then backhauling them via mesh :). Sadly, TPlink doesn't see things this way.

Instead, you would need a meshable AP (any ceiling or outdoor unit) compatible with your controller.  You can then connect an Omada compatible switch, ie SG2008 or SG2008P if you want to get clever and lose the injector for the local AP.  Start simple and then build your VLANs/ACLs  in layers or you could easily block yourself.
