Does TP Link ER8411 support XGN-PON ?
Hello all,
Does the ER8411 support XGN-PON using an SFP+ optical transceiver to connect over fiber? I have Bell and would like to replace the Giga Hub.
The only authentication option I see is the PPPoE.
Thanks for any guidance!

You will still need an ONT to convert from the fibre from the street to an ethernet connection. You cannot connect the fiber from the street directly into the ER8411.

SFP module doesn't make them modem. Modem equals modulator. If ISP is not sending pure optical signals, you need the modulator anyway.

@cnoyes1972 is there anything else I'd need? Sorry, just trying to get a full picture, I wasn't able to find a fully documented solution.. :-(

Have you discussed this with your ISP? They own the ONT you are using today. You just can't make these kind of changes on your own (at least you can't with the ISPs in my area). You would need some kind of ONT box such as ONU1710-4G-P from FS (but, again, you need to verify with your ISP what would work, it would probably have to be configured by them to connect to their network).
