Hi,

I am wondering what happens when I adpot an EAP already set up in standalone mode ? Does the OC200 push its config to the EAP and erase the running EAP's conf ?

Regards,

Correct, whatever you have defined as your LAN/subnet/SSID in the Controller will override what was previously configured in Standalone mode on the AP.

I have 4x EAPs ,two outside and two inside. So before adopting them into OC200, I will need to setup 2 sites with same informations LAN/SUBNET/SSID as set up on my standalone EAPs ? I suppose the EAP's static IP will be overided and I will need to re assign it from OC200 once the EAp is adopted ?

Yes, you need to translate your current design into the controller, that includes subnets, VLANs and assigned static IPs.  However, it really isn't that much effort, and once done, you can now backup system wide settings in one shot.  Adding additional hardware in the future is super easy too.

IIRC the controller can preserve a portion of the existing WAN settings on your gateway.  So all you really need to do is to define your LAN subnet(s), define SSIDs which maps them to a defined subnet/VLAN, and then assign your Wireless profile(s) to your AP(s).

You can start it all up and once all your APs are adopted, you can then use the controller UI to assign them fixed IPs.  Reboot them and they'll come back up with their fixed IP assignment.

If you have a lot of devices with fixed IPs (ie cameras, IOT, printers), the controller, under Site->Settings->Services->DHCP Reservations has a way to bulk import/export.  I'm sure with a little clever copy and paste you could extract from your current setup and upload in one shot to the controller.
