Hi Guys,

I have a problem.

I cannot make omada  fix IP for some of my clients. Whenever I click "Use fixed IP adress" nothing happens.

I tried to reset EAPs, Switch and OC200.

Tried to reconnect the clients - ip adresses are still assigned randomly

All my MAC assigned to IPs are visible @ DHCP reservation table

my net topology is:

Provider's router -> omada switch -> 3x EAPS with all clients.

all abovce devices are in the same subnet. 192.168.0.x

Fix IP only works with Omada a controlled DHCP which is usually via the gateway.  I'm not sure the 'Simplified' Omada model would allow you to leverage L3 capability in some of their switches to do this...doubt it.

In short, you want to fix IPs, you'll need to do that from the provider's router, or insert an Omada gateway between the ISP and your switch.

Did I understand well that option available in routers for 20 EUR is something impossible for OMADA ? So the DHCP reservation tab in OMADA is just to deceive us :) I am more than disappointed. Anyway, Thank you very much for your reply. I have few more problems, but I will open dedicated threads for them.

Buy yourself an ER605 and it will work as advertised.

For full functionality, your Omada must contain all elements in the stack, ie gateway->switch->AP.  Some functionality is possible with a subset of those components, but not all.  In your case, not having the gateway, means Omada controller has no ability to control what your 3rd party router is handing out.  Not a defect, just reality.

@VasquezPL yes, er605v2 is an entry-level gateway and is fully supported by latest controller versions.
