Omada Controller - Ability to Select and Download Firmware Versions to save locally
Omada Controller has ability to complete rolling upgrades of devices and controllers, however, currently, there is no option to select a specific firmware version or download the firmware locally.
Recently had a major issue with the ER707-M2 router with an internet connection using two ISPs for load balancing and link back-up. the online detection was behaving erratically and continuously detecting the internet was down. furthermore, all wireless devices were unable to connect to the internet.
The solution was to custom upgrade the device through configuration/manage device/custom upgrade. issue was firmware was not available on my country's local TP link website, hence had to search the community and other countries to find firmware which is high risk due to any potential differences in hardware/firmware for models sold in multiple countries.
I could only find an old version of the firmware, which means after doing the custom upgrade, again had to install the latest firmware through the Omada controller.
Additionally, if we upgrade firmware to the latest and it causes issues, we could simply roll back to a stable previous release through the Omada controller.
