Greetings!

 

My POE+ powered EAP660HD disconnected at random today.  Upon investigation the AP had a blinking LED.  I physically disconnected the AP for about 20 minutes, and reconnected it in an attempt to restart it fresh.  When reconnected, the AP's LED continuously blinks.  It is not responding to ping on its IP or fallback IP address.  The POE switch indicates the AP is taking power, but is not connecting (no connection LED).  I have since tried multiple cold reboots, and resetting with the RESET button.  I have not found a solution and the AP remains in its locked blinking state.

 

Has anyone experienced this, or can offer a solution?

Hi @900mhz ,

 

Based on our experience, this issue is usually caused by the physical connection, please change the Ethernet cable and check the power supply.

  @Hank21 I tried swapping cables, ports, and tried it without POE+ (hard wiring into the wall wart).  None of these work.

Please confirm whether the random disconnected EAP is wired or wireless, and make sure your EAP has the latest firmware version EAP660 HD_V1_1.2.10 Build 20231214.

  @Hank21 It is wired into an ER7212PC.  The EAP was on the latest firmware available in Canada (1.2.7)

Hi @900mhz,

 

Please confirm whether the firewall and anti-virus software don't block any ports between the EAP and the controller, you may turn off the firewall for testing.

  @Hank21 There are no blockages (EAP connected directly to ER7212 which is also the controller)
