How do I access the Admin Panel of another router connected to the LAN port of the TL-R600VPN?

Hi Folks,

My Laptop is accessing the Internet via a TL-R600VPN.

The address given to my Laptop is 192.168.0.177/24.

I want to connect my Slate AR750S to the TL-R600VPN to make the Internet available via its Wireless signal for other devices like phones.

The Slate uses 192.168.8.1 for its Web Admin Panel.

As per the topic, "How do I access the Admin Panel when Slate 750 is connected to another router connected to the Internet" I started at the following link, which Menus for the LAN Configuration of the TL-R600VPN do I use to set the Static Route to network of 192.168.8.0/24 and which Settings and Values do I need to modify for each of those menus?

forum dot gl-inet dot com slash t slash how-do-i-access-the-admin-panel-when-slate-750-is-connected-to-another-router-connected-to-the-internet slash 39901

Thanks, MTB.

Assuming I've got the details correct for your AR750S, then you switch it to Access point Mode

The R600 will then allocate an IP address to the AR750S in the local subnet ( 192.168.0.x ) . You should then be able to access its web admin using that IP.

Damn, I think you're probably right. I missed re-reading the last page of all the pertinent pages I extracted from all the documents I had printed for the Slate when I got it. The Forum Member on the GL.iNet forum should have told me that.

Do I still need to set a Static Route for the LAN port of the TL-R600VPN?

Thanks again, MTB.

No, the AR750 will now have an IP address in the local subnet and no routing is needed
