Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version:

I have a gigabit network and I am interested in replacing my software controller with a hardware one to avoid having to keep the computer on all the time. However, I am uncertain whether the 0C200 can handle a 10/100/1000 network. Can you confirm if it's possible?

Hi @ajotasan

There are only 10/100Mbps Ethernet Ports on the OC200. But the OC200 controller is only used to manage the Omada devices, the network speed will not affect the communication between the controller and the Omada devices. That is to say you don't need to worry about the port speed on the OC200.

However, the firmware on the OC200 and the software controller might differ. The latest firmware of software controller is 5.13.30.8, when the latest on OC200 is 5.13.24. To migrate the controller settings, you need to make sure the first 3 numbers of controller version are the same. If rather, you have to re-configure the controller settings or wait for the OC200 firmware update, and meanwhile do not upgrade the software controller.
