Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.1.0 Build 20220926 Rel. 62456(4555)

I have an eap225 antenna, configured with a static IP address, SSID configured with a password, I don't have a router in the local network but I want to use the antenna to connect mobile devices within the network. If I try to connect to Wi-Fi, the devices disconnect and reconnect every 2 seconds, making the connection intermittent. However, if I connect an internet router, the connection to the antenna is stable. I tried over and over and the result is this.
Suggestions?
Is it possible to use the EAP225 without an internet controller or router being active in the network?

You are experiencing this because your device is not getting an IP address from the AP (that is what the router is doing for you that makes it 'work').  You could statically configure your WLAN interface with an IP...but doing that will mess you up anytime you use it with any another wireless network.

@DanieleZ I configured both the EAP225 and the device in static IP because I don't want to use the router

@d0ugmac1 No, the problem is not really solved, I had already done the configuration that way.

Ok, what is the IP subnet of the LAN the AP is connected to, what are the IP settings you configured on the AP and what IP settings did you apply to the device you want to connect to the LAN subnet?

Do you want the wireless device to just connect to other devices on the LAN, or to those AND other networks?

Please provide IP, Netmask, and Default GW for each.

  @d0ugmac1

device tablet STATIC IP
IP 192.168.1.2
SUB 255.255.255.0
GW NO (not used)
DNS NO (not used)

EAP225 STATIC IP

IP 192.168.1.3
SUB 255.255.255.0
GW NO (not used)
DNS NO (not used) but EAP forces me to put at least the primary DNS

PC STATIC IP
IP 192.168.1.4
SUB 255.255.255.0
GW NO (not used)
DNS NO (not used)

I need tablet and PC to communicate via EAP225 without an internet router connected to the local network.

Is the EAP225 connected via ethernet cable to the PC's ethernet port?

What OS is running on the tablet?

@d0ugmac1 PC connected via cable to the switch.
EAP connected via cable to POE to its power supply and connected via cable to the switch
Tablet connected to the EAP SSID.
PC Windows
Tablet Android
nothing else.

Android sometimes freaks out if it cannot get to Google's services via the internet.

From the PC, can you ping .2 and .3 successfully?

From the tablet, can you ping .3 and .4?
