Model: ER707-M2   ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have a ER605 with an OC200 controller. I just ordered a ER707-M2 router to replace it as an upgrade. Can I use  a backup from the controller maintenance section and restore my router settings from the old one to the new replacement I am getting? If not how can I migrate all my old router settings to the new one?

Thanks

Hi @pwnjuice

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Settings will be retained but the WAN settings will be changed. Your model will be changed to either a universal or a specific model.

  @Clive_A

I did the switch last night and only settings that did not change was reserved addresses. I lost all my VPN settings and port forwarding. But lucky for me they are quick and easy to reset back up.
