A better way would be, if you use it leave it on otherwise do not start the service to increase boot time. This would be an easy fix. If you enable vpn, just start the damn service and set the service to start at boot. Usually, this would also be possible to delay the startup. Who is using VPN before all the rest is started??????

  @Philldu there is zero reason to remove this feature before you introduce rewritten and optimized code to replace it. This is a core reason why many users are moving to Omada from unifi and to remove it without a viable alternative is reckless.

I don't understand why you can't just give the end user the option to disable ppsk for accelerated boot times. This would solve the issue of long boot times for users who have complained about that and keep a core feature for users who rely on ppsk without radius. I will have to switch to unifi or another alternative if ppsk is removed or not upgrade my oc200's software until a viable ppsk solution is in place.

Keep ppsk without radius at a minimum. It’s a core feature.

Hi  @UKJim

It also influences PPSK without RADIUS.

Please retain. If you're planning to remove this as a quick win to improve boot times, don't. Also, which hardware controllers will this impact? All, some?

Must remain at least optional, config file should propagate whether it starts at reboot on upgrades.

  @Philldu

Keep this option enabled to use it as an optional feature

  @TakeshiKovacs

looks like it should hit only the OC200.

In my opinion it's a stupid decision. I don't know what kind of extraordinary fancy new features should be implemented that such a basic feature like RADIUS have to be depreciated.
