When I look to add my 2 switches (TL-SG1005P & TL-SG116) to the cloud based controller by scanning the model numbers, I get a failed error and the items are labeled as offline. How can I make the switches available to add to my Site.

Hi @JD-02Hoo

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Omada is a series of products that are L2+ based. And you can find the Omada Controller-compatible devices on the official website.

The switches you have are unmanaged switches and they are not possible to be controlled.

  @Clive_A

Currently my internet/router is connected to a switch and the switch is connected to 3 EAPs. If the EAPs show as connected, are they still "broadcasting" the signal from the router?

Unsure if the 3 EAPs are spreading the wifi across the different levels of the house.

Not sure what you mean with these terms. But I think if I understand you correctly, yes, they are.

They are all coming from the same router so they are actually in the same network. Switch is just a way to extend the ports when you run out of the ports on the router.
