I have an Omada SDN at home and I very much need an access point in my garage.

Currently, I have an PoE IP Camera in there, which is plugged in via ethernet which runs down to my basement. I looked into running a second ethernet to the garage but it'd be very very difficult given how I'd have to route it.

As such, since the EAP 225-wall has an additional PoE port on it, would it be appropriate to use the camera's ethernet for the EAP225, and then plug the camera into the access point?

Hi  @templeowls

To use the POE out port of EAP225-wall, you need to make sure the following:

1. the camera supports 802.3af POE power supply;

2. the EAP225-wall is powered by an 802.3at POE adapter/switch;

3. The power consumption of the camera is no more than 13W.

After above, the camera will be able to get a stable power and Internet from the POE-out port of EAP225-wall and no more port/access point is required.
