Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20220826 Rel.58631

I am trying to configure several SG116E switches using the Easy Smart utility, but when I click on a switch it simply asks me to upgrade to the latest release of the utility.

 

I am running the latest version of the utility from the tp-link download site, 1.3.9.0  on a Windows-11 system, but it seems to think a newer version is required.  The switches are all hardware version 2.20

 

Does anyone know if or where a newer version of the utility can be found?

Thanks Clive! Unfortunately, the version of the utility to which you refer is the same one I am currently running (1.3.9.0), which I had downloaded from that global site. For some reason, it wants me to install a newer version, which doesn't exist on that site. It's a mystery! I wonder if there is some sort of Windows registry entry or configuration file I can edit to work around the problem? Does it perhaps not recognize hardware version 2.20? Cheers! Chuck

Ooops!  It seems the download site for Canada does not have the latest version.

 

When I force my browser to override and go to the US English site, a newer version does exist.

 

The global site by default asks me to go to the Canada support site:  www.tp-link.com/ca/support/download/tl-sg116e/v2/  which is very much out of date.

 

Thanks for your help ... I will try the newer version from the US site.
