  @Cepheus0815

I've tried updating my firmware today, but for some reason it keeps failing. I've tried updating it using the console and from the Omada app. Both fail. I've also tried upgrading my es205gp to v1.2, but this also fails.

Has anyone had this or can advise me on why this is happening. I can't find the new firmware on the website for a manual upgrade either.

Thanks

I had the same issue so I "unadopted" it and updated the FW in standalone mode. Re-adopted the switch with the new FW (1.0.3), but still don't see any client IPs. @ColJacks @tsalat

  @Cepheus0815

Where did you get the firmware from to update in stand alone mode? It's no longer a beta version and I can't find it to download.

Thanks

  @ColJacks I got it from ES205G USA Firmware. Filter by firmware.

  @HN116 It seems I was too optimistic. I had the switch at the edge of my network. In the past, by connecting the switch to the end of the network resulted in all wired clients to loose IPs from the Omada software. After the firmware upgrade - I am using a software controller 5.15.20.16, the upgrade went fine, the client IPs appeared back - still on the edge of the network. Today I have exchanged the old switch with this one within the network. I have one port from the switch that goes directly to a client, this client does not have the information about the IP, although all other clients connected to the gateway, APs, etc... are visible.

Hence, the problem seems to be partially solved for me.

I will try to connect something else to another port to see if the problem is only in one particular scenario but I guess everything that goes directly to the switch seems to lose the IP client information. However, the AP connected directly to the switch still has the IP address info... I am so confused.

 Can I express my support for sorting this please, I have 1 x ES208G 1 x ES205GP and 1 x ES205G which are all missing the IP addresses of clients and would be much appreciated if the firmware could be released to resolve.

Thank You

The basics needs to be met. I have 4 of these switches that are useless this way

Same here...

I've updated gateway to 1.3.0 witch enabled ARP Detect option but lack of ip still remeins on my ES205GP.

EAP connected to this switch shows ip in omada app normally (:

  @Clive_A

Is there any Update on the matter? When can we expect a firmware update that reliably fixes this?

In my case I have had frequent problems controlling basic IoT devices: End devices are throwing communication errors because of IP verification issues. Maintaining and debugging RTU Modbus communication is higly problematic. And it all only happens to devices connected to this specific switch (On other Omada switches they work perfectly fine). It really is a problem!

It seems this switch was released prematurely - just setting it up and adopting it was a nightmare already. If it says Omada on the box, it really should to be fully compatible from day one - it's the whole reason we are buying Omada over standalone devices in the first place.

An update on the matter would be most appreciated.
