Background:

We have optimized the controller adoption time of the Omada router and now we would like to collect your backup to test internally.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please reply to this thread along submit your (non-support) backup. Please zip or archive your backup and encrypt it with your email address as the password.

In addition, we require:

1. Your network scenario. Is it a small business or an office? MDU or for regular home scenarios. Please specify.

2. Your network size. Average client number.

3. Your time of the adoption if you recall any.

Note:

1. The listed requirements are supposed to be answered along with the backup. Or we will not use your backup for the test.

2. The zip you have uploaded here should not support backup.

3. The zip you have uploaded should be using your forum registered email as the password. If we cannot access your zipped file, it will discarded.

4. We are not responsible for your zipped file if you forget to add a password to it. We will delete it soon if we find out.

5. Your backup will only be used for test purposes.

  @Clive_A

Backup attached, encrypted with email

Scenario:

Medium business (Theatre, Bar, Restaurant, Offices, Theatre TEchnical etc)

OC200 v1 (5.14.32)

ER7206 v2 as "remote site" - actually just giving my ER8411 (below) a second WAN for public access

ER8411 main gateway 2 WANs - policy routed all internal office and staff to WAN/LAN4, Public networks to WAN/LAN5 (fed from ER7206 above)

3 omada switches

6 EAP650 APs

20-200 users depending on what going on in the business

Usual re-adoption time of ER8411 - around 25 to 30 minutes total including all reboots.  OC200 is connected to management LAN on ER8411.

Usual re-adoption time of ER7206 v2 - around 10 to 15 minutes total including all reboots.  OC200 controls this over internet using port forwarding.

Happy to test out any Beta's that you are working on regarding the adoption process - both controller and routers.

The ER7206 in my modem > network chain simply exists to work around my previously logged issue wherin my 8411 with more than one connection to my Hitrons Chita modem reports multiple MAC addresses per port to the modem causing traffic losses.
