Lock to AP List?
Is there a way to find all devices that are locked to AP's besides clicking on them one by one in the cleints or insights? I've got several devices that I had locked to AP's that all of a sudden wouldn't reconnect, even thought the AP was available that they were supposed to connect to... I had to go find them in the known clients list one by one and remove the lock to ap to get them to re-connect. It would be nice to have a place to go to that just listed all the devices that were locked to AP's even if they are NOT currently connected.

I haven't found anywhere where you can find which devices have lock to ap. My solution was to add _lock to the device name to be able to search for these devices.

@MR.S the problem is there is no search function in the insights/known clients in the latest version of the controller, and the prior version the search didn't work.
Right now all you can do is sort by name and manually look for them if you use your naming convention.
Better than nothing, I guess, but we need a way to find them quicker.

Problem is that the latest controller doesn't have a search in the known devices, and the previous cert the search didn't work.

There should be a bet way to do this... Like a dedicated list, or a flag, or an actual search that works and allows you to select when last seen, if locked, etc....

yes i agree that there should be an easier way to find devices that are locked to a access point. but you can search for known clients, you have to press expand on the top right and the search field will appear.

The search function doesn't work for me... No matter what I put in, name, IP, Mac, etc... nothing shows up.

Yes, the new search field is a bit bad, you have to type exactly what you want to search for. If it's a capital letter, you have to search with a capital letter so it could be a better search.

@Vincent-TP sometimes even though devices are locked to AP's they will not connect to those AP', and won't connect to the network at all. Removing the lock to AP gets it to connect again, and then they can be locked again. Because they won't connect, they have to be searched for in the known devices, and then removed from lock to AP.
This happens on EAP225 outdoor v1 and v3 AP's and iot devices regularly.
The main issue I'm trying to solve is the fact that the iot devices want to connect to far away AP's, even though the signal is strong from the close Ap. I have tried rssi threshold, minimum connection speed, lowering power levels and lock to AP, manual reconnecting but nothing works good.

Hi @dononeil
How far away are the IoT devices from the closed EAP and the further EAP?
Please also try to lower down the tx power of the further EAP so that the IoT devices won't detect its wifi signal.

@Vincent-TP the close AP is 50-100 feet (there are more than one) and in some cases the far AP is 1000+ feet away. This is an outdoor installation with no interference for 1+ miles.
Adjusting the power level doesn't seem to help, they just connect to other AP's that are still further away (300+ feet). I've tried to set power levels across the entire setup (some are mesh, some are wired) to no avail. All it does is make the overall network performance and connection strengths worse than when it just set to Auto.
