Hi.
Some question that I am sure you can help with.

I am trying to fine tune my VIGI setting. And under VIGI or the cam settings, there there is a Video tab, and then the stream tab.
I have a Main stream and a Substream. What is the difference?

Image quality is also default set to medium. Is the VIGI and cams (with SD-cards) then also recording at medium quality? or is it possible to set the recording to hi-quality. and just stream in medium?

Thanks.

Hi @ht_28

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Differences:

Mainstream is the primary video feed used for recording and provides the highest video quality. It has higher definition and higher bandwidth than sub stream.

Substream is a secondary video feed that is used mainly for remote viewing from computers, smartphones, or tablets over the Internet from outside the network. It has a lower resolution and smaller bandwidth than mainstream and is usually used when viewing multiple cameras at once from a mobile device.

Set the image quality can improve the recording.
