Model: TL-SG2008
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello, i recently bought some network devices for a club: ER605, EAP255, TL-SG2008P.

Router connected to switch, then from switch i connected: 2 PoE APs, 1 ArtNet Node, 1 Macbook for sending DMX and NDI via Resolume e Dante Virtual Soundcard, 1 Allen & Heat mixer (Only Controller (Not Dante)), 1 Windows PC to receive NDI and DANTE (Runs Omada Controller).

So every devices is now connected with one and only network adapter, I currently have no vlans, because of this.

I'm experiencing some trouble. NDI and dante both lose connection randomly for a sec. I have QoS Gateway Configured, but i rather use Switch Qos, which omada isn't giving me option to use. There's a guide to config Qos thru CLI even for my switch model, but omada says my switch can't support CLI commands.

Let's say we are able to send CLI commands. i don't understand what i'm suppose to personalize in this commands, like, choose the ports? Where i'm supposed to put the port number in the syntax?:

qos dscp-map 8 2

qos dscp-map 46 5

qos dscp-map 48 5

qos dscp-map 56 6

ip igmp snooping drop-unknown

interface range gigabitEthernet 1/0/1-5 (choose the uplink and downlink ports)

qos trust mode dscp

qos queue 5 mode sp

qos queue 6 mode sp

#

interface range gigabitEthernet 1/0/2-5 (choose the ports connected directly to clients)

ip igmp snooping immediate-leave

Please give me some advices, i'm some kind disperate. Thanks a lot.

Hi @Wonderland-club

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Recommend you try the CLI User Guide which gives the syntax, explanation, and example along with these lines you posted. That'll make some sense to you I think.

  @SmutjeHannes

If you are asking the same question about how to personalize the QoS, you should refer to this:

Omada Gateway QoS DSCP Reference Table

It is universal for the QoS world, and every code or priority number means something.

Regarding how you should sequence them, that's your scheme and your network. Up to you.

The generic guide we provide only offers a global view of how to set up the QoS.

If you want to verify effectiveness, "how does it work", you can use Wireshark and see if the corresponding ports are tagged with the QoS frame.

A breakdown of how QoS works on the Internet would explain that.

I would say QoS would make little difference, but indeed would be helpful in a voice system. But I cannot tell the differences in daily use of similar features like QoS.
