  @Vincent-TP

1. Yes exact same configuration as previous version. Tested in 1.0.14 which does not have this issue. I also tried a factory reset and reconfigured everything from scratch but the issue still persists. Both standalone mode and controller mode.

2. Yes a reboot of the EAP783. Rebooting the clients does not change anything.

3. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (Android 15), Samsung Galaxy S25+ Android 15), and Dell Precision / HP Elitebook both with Intel BE200 WiFi cards (Windows 11 24H2). All firmware / OS are up to date.

4. I downgraded to version 1.0.14 last night and the issue has not returned.

5. Yes disabling OFDMA on 6Ghz prevents the issue from occuring.

I noticed that along with the 6Ghz SSID the TP_TX_VAP SSID also disapears when the issue occurs.

Hope this helps,  thanks!

Hi  @TW_EPC

Thank you so much for your explanation. To further investigate the issue, we had create a support ticket for you and the ID is TKID250608445.

Please kindly check your email inbox.

 Hello everyone,

The firmware was not the problem with the customer. It was actually a cable problem that occurred and therefore there were ping losses and dropouts.

Now, however, with the 1.1.92 beta, a problem has arisen in VLAN 1 where the connections are no longer clean. Is there anything known about this? In addition to VLAN 1, the customer also uses many other VLANs in the network where there are no problems.

After downgrading to 1.0.14, the problem in VLAN 1 is gone again. Curious.

Hi  @Matt_cgn

Thanks for the feedback. To better understand the issue, would you please help us to confirm:

1. which firmware of the EAP783 using? is the beta version 1.1.92?

2. what kind of other services are? are they also video services like YouTube?

3. How many wireless clients are connecting to the network in total?

4. when the issue happened, are all wireless clients affected? or there are still some clients surfing normally?

5. when the issue happened, did other kinds of Internet services work correctly?

6. after reboot the EAP, will the issue occur again? if yes, around how long?

  @Vincent-TP

Hello everyone,

is there any new beta in sight? With the old firmware there are huge problems every 2 weeks.

The latest beta is not much better. The APs at our major customer (over  90 APs) are causing problems, which is really bad.

I can't reply to the support ticket either, as we have downgraded. I am not currently using the beta!

  @TW_EPC

I have issues with new firmware too. But better then before. Issue I have now is that some random devices don't connect.

I have about 60 devices. But only 57 of them connect. Something with wpa2/wpa3 mode. All worked on normal firmware with same config.  But now they won't connect even when I try to reset WiFi on those devices.

When I switch to wpa2 (only) then the device works. But didn't have to do this before. They worked on wpa2/wpa3 mode.

Hi  @TW_EPC

Yes, we are preparing a new beta to fix the reported issue.

What is the model number of the firewall in your network?

You mentioned that you had seen the “invalid traffic packets” in the firewall. Is this a feature for your firewall? Will it change the format of the EAP packets?

We also need your config file to investigate more. Could you please kindly export it and send the config file to us via the support ticket? It will be very helpful.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

  @Vincent-TP

Hi Vincent,

we are currently back to 1.0.14. Please note.

I have written the necessary information in your ticket. I hope it is enough.

I don't always have direct access to the controller.

Nothing has been changed in the firewall, it worked with 1.0.14. Only 1.1.92 did not work, hence the downgrade.
