if so please share.

We have tried again and have now updated one EAP783 of our 80 APs to 1.1.92. After the update, this AP is now processing a speed of 100 Mbit. That can't be right?
Hangs behind an SC3206HPP. Definitely 10 Gigabit uplink before the update. Is there anything known?
This is also a completely new hardware AP, because the previous one only caused problems after updating to 1.1.92 and then downgrading to 1.0.14. This phenomenon also occurred there.

Hi @TW_EPC
This issue is unlikely to be caused by the beta firmware. It may have occurred due to accidental network cable movement during or after the upgrade, potentially resulting in a poor connection. To troubleshoot, we recommend reseating the Ethernet cable or trying a different cable.

I have 2x new in the box EAP783 v1.0 received yesterday and I already hit a road block.
Updated firmware to 1.1.92 but it was the same with the initial firmware and subsequent stable firmware.
These 2x EAP783 do not let IoT devices (some), to connect to. Examples, simple LED light controllers, and also some home appliances as Miele washing machine, dryers and some sound speakers.
With the controller OC300, same (untouched) 2.4Ghz WLAN settings for IoT SSID, EAP690E HD works ok, as well as EAP245 v3.0.
WPA/WPA2 Personal AES, with / without roaming function, just 2.4 Ghz SSID, basic, no MLO, EAP783 no go.
Please suggest steps for troubleshooting and is there something I can test localy to provide you with supporting information?
Thanks, Liviu

It's this beta firmware. I have devices that won't connect while on this beta either. You likely could use the last official/stable version and not have the issue.
But then MLO crashes the EAP...
So (sadly) you have to pick what issues you want...
I am surprised that no new official/stable firmware has been released in nearly a year now. For a flagship small business product it's not getting much love :(
Hope that I'm proven wrong and more updates and a stable version with all fixes comes soon.

ps: try setting just WPA2 or WPA1 instead of WPA1/2 and see if one of those allow the devices not working. I have one device that doesnt like the combined as well and had to setup single security methods like above.

Thanks for solutions suggestions. Went back to stable firmware, 1.0.14, set only 2.4 Ghz SSID, 20Mhz, channel 6, 802.11b/g/n, WPA2 Personal AES, Power High, and unfortunate, no clients can connect to this AP. I just don't see anything wrong I set, as same settings work just fine on EAP690E HD.
Is EAP783 designed to be backwards compatible to Wifi4 standard, TP-Link?

Hi @liviu2004
Is EAP783 designed to be backwards compatible to Wifi4 standard, TP-Link?
>>>Yes
To confirm with the concern you are having:
When using this beta version 1.1.92:
These 2x EAP783 do not let IoT devices (some), to connect to. Examples, simple LED light controllers, and also some home appliances as Miele washing machine, dryers and some sound speakers.
>>>
1. Is there any error message when failed to connect? Better with some screenshots;
2. Is this happening only some fixed clients?
3. Did you test these clients with an open 2.4G only SSID? Will the same thing happen?
4. Are other clients working as expected when using this firmware?
5. Does this happen on both of the EAP783?
When using this beta version 1.0.14:
no clients can connect to this AP
>>>
1. Does that mean, all wireless clients unable to connect to the EAP's SSID? including mobile phones and IoT clients?
2. Can client connect to other EAP models?
3. Does this happen on both of the EAP783?
What's the firmware version of the OC300?

Hi Vincent,
Is there any new news?
Is it true that the EAP 783 in 1.0.14 does not currently support non-stick roaming or fast roaming? This is displayed in the controller. That would be a real negative aspect.
