Yes, I tried that. Also tried downgrading to various beta ones in the hope that I can downgrade further from those (1.1.xx) but it won't take anything. Trying to downgrade from the controller to a managed EAP783 gives me "Upload Failed". Trying to do a different standalone EAP783 I upgraded gives me "Failed to check for new update".

  @czar20x6

1.1.3 specifically says in the patch notes that you won't be able to downgrade once applied.

  @the901

What it "specifically" says is this:

2. This firmware upgrade is irreversible. Contact Omada technical support if downgrade is required.

Based on that wording, I think I could be forgiven for thinking support would be able to offer me some way back. I have contacted technical support as the notes mentioned and posted here in case somebody already knew how to downgrade.

Re:EAP783_V1_1.1.92 Beta Firmware (Update on 23th May, 2025)-Solution

Just for anyone else following this thread, I have also updated to 1.1.3 and have had no issues at all. Considering all the issues I was having with previous firmware versions (MLO not working properly and frequent disconnects), I am very pleased with this update. No issues at all with WiFi speeds. I run mine in standalone mode.

  @liviu2004

It was listed on their support site under downloads but looks like it has since been removed. Maybe @Vincent-TP can comment on  why it was removed?

  @Jeff.W

With the latest 1.1.3, I have issues with Pixel 9 and I think also with a Macbook M1. Dropping WiFi calls, servers unreachable sometimes, etc.

Also, that the newest (unreleased or redacted) firmware seem to be not downgradeable, makes me believe that they are also updating the Wi-Fi chip firmwares, so it looks like it has been a HW error all along. The question is if they are now using workarounds and compromised to mediate the issue, or if they actually managed to fix it.

Sorry but no. The last time I contacted the support, they wasted my time over weeks. Made me connect the Omada controller to the cloud and give them remote access, provide endless meaningless information. Resulting in nothing, it just felt like they were buying time and hoping I would drop the support request. The whole time without informing me once that the firmware has/had known issues with iOS devices. I had to find that out by my self though forum and Reddit posts.

I am sure your support team can afford a Pixel, a Samsung and an iOS for testing. Not my job to help you make a stable business device 2 years after release.

No hard feelings towards you!
