EAP 615 WALL - bug - if eth1 turned off wifi speed drops to 10 Mbps
EAP 615 WALL - bug - if eth1 turned off wifi speed drops to 10 Mbps

After some tests we identified that when the eth1 port of the eap615-wall is disabled, the wifi speed in speed tests starts at 10 Mbps and drops to 0 in a few seconds. With the eth1 port activated, the wifi speed remains normal, in our case, approximately 600 Mbps. The bug does not happen with the eth2 and eth3 ports, only with the eth1 port disabled. I believe a Firmware fix is necessary.

@Vincent-TP, appears to be working normally with eth1 disabled now. I'll post back to this thread if anything changes.

I did the update on the 89 EAP615s we have, I tested it on at least 15 of them and it didn't present the problem when the eth1 port is disabled. If the situation changes, I will post again in this topic. Thanks.

Hi @Vincent-TP, I have 5 EAP615-Wall(EU) v1.0 access points with 1.5.0 Build 20240830 Rel. 63168 firmware. I can also confirm this problem.
By when will a new firmware be available?

Hi @WM1
This was fixed by the early access version. Please enable the option below and you will be able to get the version:

Hi @Vincent-TP, thanks for your response. I notice that firmware 1.5.3 Build 20250208 Rel. 60097 is still in Beta, and that the release notes indeed mention "9. Fixed the issue of wireless performance degradation when the ETH1 port is disabled.". By when do think this firmware will be released as a stable version?

Hi @Vincent-TP, I just upgraded my EAP615-Wall(EU) v1.0 access points to 1.5.3 Build 20250208 Rel. 60097. This since the official support page (EAP615-Wall | Omada Network Support) states it is released (assuming this means that it is Stable):
In my controller under Cloud Firmware Pool under Stable it still shows 1.5.0 Build 20240830 Rel. 63168:
In my controller under Cloud Firmware Pool under Release Candidate it shows 1.5.3 Build 20250208 Rel. 60097:
So, I think these are not properly synchronized. Maybe something that you can align on with your colleagues.
(P.S. Similar for the ER706W v1.0 router where it says that 1.1.3 Build 20240830 Rel.54942 is Stable, where 1.2.0 Build 20250428 Rel.77691 is under Release Candidate (while it is already released according to ER706W | Omada AX3000 Gigabit VPN Router | Omada Network Support), and while 1.1.6 Build 20241211 Rel.58391 is still under Beta. Somewhat confusing)
(P.S. Similar for the EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 access point where it says that 5.1.11 Build 20250401 Rel. 50587 is Stable, where 5.1.7 Build 20240819 Rel. 44148 is still under Release Candidate. Also confusing)
