3rd PtP Module for EAP211-Bridge KIT
3rd PtP Module for EAP211-Bridge KIT
I want to connect 2 barns to the farmhouse wifi. The EAP211-Bridge KIT suits my needs, but only has 2 modules and I need 3.
Which single PtP module do I buy that will pair best with the EAP211?
Thanks

A third EAP211-bridge KIT would work.
If it's not too far, around 100 meters, EAP225-outdoor is also ok.

I think you meant a second EAP211-Bridge Kit, but regardless, if I buy another kit doesn't that give me another pair and now I have 4 modules?
I need 3 modules...
2 modules that come in the kit
+ 1 ????

Yes, I mean a second KIT, a third EAP215-bridge unit.
If you can 't buy one unit separately, you can consider EAP225-outdoor.
What's the distance between the third unit and the uplink EAP?

That distance would be 50'-100', depending on where the units are mounted. The buildings are at a right angle, so I can't guarantee they'll be mounted at the closest point because of line of sight matters (trees, garage roofline, etc.).
Thank you for your patience with me! So if I understand... you're saying to go EAP211 Kit units from house to the furtherst barn (because it has the range), and then jump to the other barn with the EAP225-Outdoor?
Thanks again.

>>>Yes, 50-100 feet is ok for the EAP225-Outdoor.
If there are some obstacles, please try to install the EAP units higher than them.

EAP211 on the tower = Works awesome
EAP211 in barn #1 = Works aweseome
So overall, the EAP211 is delivering over 200Mbps to barn #1 from the house. Couldn't be happier!
But the EAP225 Outdoor isn't working as planned. It connects to the wireless network fine, and I can see some devices connecting to it wirelessly, but the LAN port on the power brick isn't doing anything (the POE port is working). I can't make a wired connection.
The Omada app doesn't give me any clues because it doesn't even indicate there is a LAN port in the settings (that I can find). When I web search the issue I see people get a "LAN port down" message, but I don't see anywhere to even check the LAN in the app to get that message.
The only thing I haven't tried is a switch, but I really don't need a switch in barn #2. Am I wrong in thinking that I should be able to make a wired network connection directly to the LAN port on the power brick? Do I need an intermediary?
BONUS QUESTION: If I did just buy a 2nd EAP211-Bridge Kit, could I use ONLY the client module (leave the main module in the box) and it will it auto-connect to the 1st main module on the tower? Or will I have to install the 2nd main module on the tower beside the 1st main module?
Thanks
P.S. Seriously though... the EAP211-Bridge Kit has exceeded all my expecations. Blows my mind how easy it was to setup and how fantastic it works.

Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate it!
Normally, we should be able to get Internet access from the LAN port of the EAP225-outdoor. If plug a PC into the LAN port, what IP address will the PC obtain?
Did you adopt the EAP225-outdoor on the controller via mesh? Or did you configure it as repeater mode via an Omada APP?

No IP address obtained. The PC acts like it's not plugged into anything. I could steal the switch temporarily from the house just as an experiment, but I dunno if it's worth the effort to keep troubleshooting. At this point I'm strongly leaning towards to just stop being cheap and getting a 2nd EAP211-Bridge Kit (and returning the EAP225-Outdoor). You'll be seeing me in a couple days if that doesn't go well :)
I adopted it as a repeater via the Omada app. That seems to be working. I can see it on the network as a device, and wireless things seem to be connecting to it. Maybe the LAN port is faulty?
Thanks for your help!
