How to track a client during a period of time?

Good day!

My configuration: 1xC200 + number of EAP 653.

I would like to ask whether it is possible to track a single client during a day to understand his signal level graph there. So to take a single mac address and launch its monitor/track during a day to see how his signal had been changing there. Regularly clients complain about low quality of video conference calls and having this information coiuld easily give me an answer whether it was cause by the client's low signal or not as I clearly know time of the problematic call.

Thanks

Hi  @SMARTWAY

Unfortunately, we don't have this kind of graph.

You can consider the following potential causes for the low quality of video conference calls:

1. **Distance**: How far was the client device from the EAP at that time?
2. **Roaming**: Was the client device in the process of roaming between APs?
3. **Interference**: Were there other sources of wireless interference (e.g., neighboring networks, Bluetooth devices)?
4. **Bandwidth Saturation**: Was there high network traffic (e.g., large file transfers, streaming) consuming bandwidth?

  @Vincent-TP Thanks for the suggestions.

1. Normally distance is about a few (5-7) meters away from the closest AP.

2. No, clients take fixed seats without moving during calls.

3. Well there is always something that can potentially interference (Bluetooth mouse, TV connected to wifi, etc) but such issues don't occur always. But for sure there are no any serious sources of alternative wifi signal.

4. Total BW is far from being saturated (normally about 50-60% of the total consumption).

So that's why it is interesting to see client's strength signal during the period of time to understand whether periods of calls have low signal level at the same time or not.

Another aspect that worries me is that regularly on all APs I see many errors, retried packets and drops (in the dashboard). But I have no idea how to perform deeper analysis to understand what causes such drops, errors and retransmissions.
