Hi. I have small Residential Park with 25 sites. I would like to set up wifi for those who want it. I have an OC200 controller, ER605 router and a 10 port Jetsream switch. I have a mesh setup around the park for coverage using 4 EAP650's.

I tried to create the SSIDs but when I got to about 8 of them on VLAN 10 it would not let me create more. Is there a way around this please.

Cheers

Dave

Hi  @Dave-SCCP

Here is another way: create multiple WLAN groups and apply different SSIDs to different EAPs.

Below is a config guide:

How to configure the WLAN Group function on the SDN Controller(New UI)

With multiple WLAN groups, you will be able to create more SSIDs as you want.

If you created all the SSIDs under the same WLAN group, every EAP will broadcast all of the created SSIDs. I suppose this is not what you want. Plus, too many SSIDs may cause extra wireless interference.

8 SSID's is the limit per radio

You can split them to seperate 5ghz and 2.4ghz to get a total of 16

Note than an EAP650 can only have 128 clients per radio

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

  @Dave-SCCP

Thanks for that. So the only way would be to add more wired Access Points rater than run a mesh, would this be the case?

If I used a wireless bridge to connect each of the 4 AP's could I then have 8 SSID's per AP?

Thanks

Dave
